Design Team - Wanna Be on it?...and a birthday cake :)

Just a quick reminder that our design team submission is still open. ) If you want to participate in the group, please submit your creation with Annie to by March 30 at 5 PM.

I would love to see what you guys come up with. :)...we have only a few submissions at this point, so I am hoping for a last minute rush. :)

Our next Tiddly Tuesday image will be released Tuesday, March 30.

And on a personal note, I am having a birthday later this week (30mumblemumble something LOL) and I had a small party today with my family. My mother hasn't made me a birthday cake since i was 11, but this year, she and my daughter had the best time creating a cake for me. I love dragons and fairies and all things magical and fantastical, so they created a HILARIOUS set of cakes. One cake was an ocean with a mermaid in distress as she was being threatened by the other cake, a huge dragon atop a mound of rice crispies treats shaped in a mountain...too funny. The mermaid even had a treasure chest of gems...I guess the dragon was trying to take it. LOL My nephews decorated my present bags and my hubby got me a scarlet hammock...ahhh, I am in heaven now just relaxing in the sun. :)

I feel fantastically loved. :)

I hope each of you has a great weekend and gets a chance to create a card (hopefully to submit for our design team LOL).

Update-next freebie at 500 members

Well we had a great day yesterday with my nephews, playing on the playground, feeding the ducks, eating pizza....and not sleeping much. :)

As we are up so bright and early, I have a second to say hi.
Our PCP group now has almost 400 members!!! I don't know when this sudden and spectacular growth will stop shocking me, but I doubt any time soon. LOL I will try to contain my enthusiasm and just add freebies at the appropriate numbers. :)

Soooo, just to let you know that our next freebie will be at 500 members (who knows, at this rate maybe by Thursday?? :D).
Thanks again for your support and help growing our fun, but no longer little group. :)

I have added a small thank you digi to the group, Spring Cupcake. If would like it, just log into Tiddly Inks's PCP group (or join) and it will be in a zip file in the Tiddly Tuesday section. :) Have fun.

Design Team Submission Guidelines for Tiddly Inks

Tiddly Inks is looking for a whole new design team....Whew! We are a new and growing group that has cute, fun digital stamps focused on whimsical kids and animals illustrated by Christy Croll.
I (Christy) would much rather create the digital stamps than the card examples, so I need a dedicated and super fun design team to inspire me and others with their great creations and attitudes. Half the fun of stamping is doing it with your friends, so I want to create a virtual community where we can “stamp” together.

You must be a member of Tiddly Inks group, be able to fulfill the duties, and have at least 5 posts to our message board in order to be considered (you have time to come by...hint, hint). We'd love to get to know you and have you know us.

If you think you want to be part of this crazy outfit, then enter your card into the design team competition---which will be juried by our community voting. However, keep in mind that we still want you to be part of this even if you don't wish to participate in this contest. I am not an enter-a-contest sort of person myself, so please come hang out with me, see the creativity, and cheer on the others who do choose to participate. :)

To enter, please do the following:
1.) Use the Annie digital stamp provided (you must go to PCP and check the discussion group section to download the zip).
2.) Create a new card (two sketches have been provided in the zip file by Ria if you want to use them).
3.) Use any colors you like.
Have fun creating! :)

When you are done with your card, submit the following to by March 30, 5 PM EST.
1.) A small JPEG of the photo....must be around 100 to 150 kb (Use your “Save image for web” button to create a small image). Please consider not including your watermark as the group will be voting on your submissions.
2.) A short bio about yourself (include your name--just for me, it won't be posted with your card)
3.) A list of DT's you are currently on if any (you don’t have to have any prior experience though)
4.) A link to your blog (and PCP gallery if you have one)

On March 31st, I will post a gallery (here or on PCP...not sure yet) using the pictures of qualified candidates and the community will vote between March 31 and April 10. If you submitted a card, you may vote. The submissions will be posted annonymously.
I will use the votes to help me pick five new members of the design team. :) The new design team will be notified on April 11.

Design Team members will be eligible to participate for 3 full months (April, May June, July this term) and receive their choices of (TBD) images each month...and of course be part of a great community.:)

As a design team member, your duties will be to:
--Post on the Tiddly Inks message board on a regular basis
--Help inspire other members by posting to our challenge blog at least once every two weeks
--Post a Tiddly card on your personal blog once a week (it can be the same card).
--Create one "how-to", "tutorial" or "make and take" for the Tiddly Inks blog every six weeks or so
--Promote Tiddly Inks when and wherever possible (i.e. blogs, signature lines, etc)
--Be generally awe-inspiring...:)

I hope that you decide to join our growing team. :) It will be fun!!!

New Look for Spring

Morning everyone! It is almost spring here, so I updated our look for a more "springy" feel. :)
Guess who is going to be our SURPRISE image on Tuesday???? Take a quick look up. :)

Our new challenge blog is up with the submission rules for the soon-to-be design fun. :)

I have a new badge and I would really appreciate it if you would use it as a link somewhere on your blog if you will be using Tiddly Inks images. Our PCP group is private and the emblem will not show up on member's lists of groups, soooo I am asking for help with advertising. I wanted the group to be private so that members get a treat, but it has the unintended consequence of hiding our group. LOL

I wil be working on the book until Tuesday so I won't be around much...but I can't wait to see your submissions for the design team. :)

New Release -Masked Avenger says Yes!

I was so inspired by all the stamping talk lately that I pulled out this old sketch and inked it up last night. Several years ago, my then 3 year old was into masks and dressing up...:) I love how kids just keep it simple....
Ahhhh, the answer should always be YES....I wish it could be. :)

She will be a repeat character and maybe I can make a masked avenger boy...I always seem to make girls first since I have one of that variety. But YES, I
can make a boy. See how easy it is to say yes?

Calendar from Now Until Mid April

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share where I see this group going in the near and distant future. (I can't get it all done this week, even though I would like to. LOL ) I want to meet as many expectations as possible and that is going to take a little time so here are my thoughts for the next month.

First, the quickest way to get updates is going to be following this blog. New stamps will posted here, along with news. There is a RSS link in the Tiddly Inks PCP group (look at the section below the cupcake tree) or you can follow here. I want this to be the main central place to post and for people to check. I will post the freebies here to begin with too, but you will have to go to PCP to claim the image.

Second, my shop is sparsely filled with stamps at the moment BECAUSE I am (shh, don't tell anyone :D) building a shop that will allow instant downloads. It will be ready in a few weeks, so I am trying not to release too many images and, instead, have a big splash when the shop opens. I love Etsy, but the emailing of files is somewhat time-consuming and difficult as I am not always at the computer to send files. SOOOO, in a few weeks, I will be regularly posting new images in the NEW SHOP and it will be much easier to shop when the images are instantly downloaded and you don't have to wait for me.

Third, free images will be released each Tuesday. Some images will be small, some will combinations of things...but all will be fun. And if you don't like this week, check back next Tuesday. Let's call it TIDDLY TUESDAYS! :) I will get a badge up soon for you to remind yourself and others. :)

Third, let's start a design team. :) I have time to draw, but not much time to create examples and it is inspirational to see gorgeous work. I will begin submissions Monday, March 21. I will pick a free image and post it and then whoever wants to submit a card, can post it to the new challenge blog (I just have to create one over the weekend LOL). Submissions will be open for 2 or 3 weeks and then we can have a voting process that lasts a few weeks. After that, we can start creating sketches and challenges for everyone to participate in.

I am so excited to begin bringing new images and seeing your creativity flow. :) Yeah!!! :) Thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm over the past two days. :) If I didn't think of something important, please let me know or if you have suggestions, share those too....Can't wait. :)

New Release - Merrie the Fairy

This little fairy was created for my daughter a few months ago so that she could have a blue fairy for Christmas. :) It is a PNG drawn in sepia ink so that when it is colored, it stays soft.

New Kitty

This is one of the first images I ever drew and I still like it. :) Meow?? Wanna Play?

The mouse toy is separated from the cat, so you can piece it on top if needed...anywhere you on his back! LOL

We are back! :)

Wow...okay, thank you so much to the new members of PCP's Tiddly Inkers....I am thrilled and so pleasantly surprised. I have been neglecting this blog in favor of my art portfolio blog so forgive the sparseness of postings. That will be changing...immediately. :)

I am so looking forward to meeting each new member and seeing their work, but I just haven't had a chance to make it to each page yet. Please give me a little time to do so, but I plan to come around to each one. :)

This blog is intended to showcase my new releases for digitals stamps with the occasional freebie thrown in. If you wish to join the PCP group, most of the free images will be listed there as it is a private listing and I can keep them just for the members. :)

Now onto business....

Is there a sketch maker out there who wants to come up with a sketch for our new group and we can start a challenge blog where we can allow members to join and post openly. Is there any interest in this?

I don't have a design team, so maybe that should be the next order of business...I can draw and you guys can create. :)

So let me know your thoughts on starting a design team and starting a challenge blog.
And I hope to see you at our PCP group.

New DT! Welcome

I am so excited to introduce our new DT members. They have already produced some amazing and truly gorgeous images over the past week and I ...
